Why study for the HSK?
As you may know, the Chinese government has effected new policy reforms in order to improve their foreign work force. Part of this reform includes a new class (A, B, & C) system for foreign experts based on a points system, including points for education and salary, but also within the system are points foreign workers can gain by passing HSK 1 with a 2 point value, up to HSK 5 or HSK 6, for the maximum language proficiency benefit of 10 points. They may also specifically take into consideration oral language proficiency, which comes under the HSKK (HSK口语) test, or your business Chinese level, which is considered under the BCT test. These last two tests do not come with a point value, but may be considered more in the future when visa quotas are added. The 2017 HSK test schedule will be on our site soon - in the meantime email us at email@example.com.
How can 1on1 Mandarin help me prepare for the HSK?
All of our teachers have years of experience in helping individual students pass the HSK. We follow proven methods with HSK-specific curriculum to help our students reach their HSK goals. Many of our students have passed HSK 6, allowing them to attain various degrees at Chinese universities, including Peking University, and have then gone on to various professional careers both inside and outside of China.
What if I already read and speak Chinese and just want to prep for an HSK test?
Congratulations, you are well on your way to taking the HSK test! Everyone studies at a different pace, and as such will have various influential factors that affect the number of class and study hours required to pass the HSK. Some of these include aptitude, age, passion, personality, learning style, time commitment, etc. Email us for a basic schedule for the number of 1on1 or group class hours required for the average person to prepare for the HSK. You will first be tested to see which HSK test you should be preparing for so you can choose which prep course is best suited to you.
